Year: Senior
Major: Psychology (Youth & Society Minor)
Why Medicine?: My personal experiences, growing up with siblings who faced complex medical diagnoses and encountering confusing medical jargon, have fueled my commitment to clear communication and support for patients and their families. Additionally, I aim to increase minority representation in the healthcare field, ensuring that young minority individuals can comfortably express their concerns with culturally sensitive healthcare providers.

Why Medicine?: Growing up in the hospital gave me more than just medical care; it gave me a sense of belonging and hope. A female minority doctor’s impact on me inspired a mission to make kids feel the same way I did. As I dive deeper into medicine, I’m driven by the passion to heal not only bodies but also minds.

Why Medicine?: I find the technology within the field to be very interesting and fascinating. I also want to give back to my community and aid in making healthcare more affordable. Finally, by being a doctor, I feel I can minimize the disparities between minorities and non-minorities when encountering healthcare.
